Şerafettin Saraçoğlu, MD, PhD was born in1965 in Istanbul. He completed his primary, and secondary education in Istanbul.
He graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 1988, and gained the degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD). He performed his compulsory military service in various regions of Turkey.
He worked in Surgical Intensive Care Unit of Istanbul International Hospital between the years 1992, and 1994. He served as a medical consultant for health insurance companies between the years 2004, and 2005.
He was a resident in Dermatology Department of Vakıf Gureba Hospital between the years 1995 and 1998, and gained the title of Dermatologist. He returned to Istanbul International Hospital in 1999 as a Dermatologist.
He assumed the task of responsible physician of Laser Dermatology Clinic of John F. Kennedy Hospital between the years 2003, and 2006.
From the year 1997 on Dr Saraçoğlu has focused on especially laser applications, and attended laser training meetings organized in various clinics, and countries.
Presently he is performing laser therapies for many skin problems using Long Pulse Nd-YAG, Alexandrite, Ruby, Er-YAG, Contact Nd-YAG, Pulsed Dye laser, Q-SW Ruby, KTP, Nd-YAG, Fractional Er-YAG lasers, and Photodinamic treatment unit.
