Innovations in the field of hair transplantation are expanding which each passing day, making Turkey the world's number one destination for hair transplant procedures. The main objective of these innovations is to achieve higher success rates and to make patients feel more comfortable. Soft FUE is by far the most comfortable hair transplant method in hair transplantation.
The path to increasing the comfort of the hair transplantation process, is to make improvements that will result in significant pain reduction. In this sense, in hair transplantation, discomfort is generally caused by the pain produced during the administration of anesthesia.Anesthesia is used to numb the scalp, which, in turn, prevents the patient from experiencing pain during the graft extraction and transplantation processes.
The administration of anesthesia is classified under three sub-categories.
- Anesthesia administered by injection.
- Anesthesia administered by applying pressure (without injection).
- Anesthesia administered after soft sedation.
In this method, prior to the hair transplant procedure, the initial administration of anesthesia is given by injection.Anesthesia of the recipient as well as donor areas is required while performing hair transplantation, which means that local anesthetic agents will be administered twice via injection. These interventions via injection will naturally cause patients to feel some pain.
Pain tolerance and threshold varies from patient to patient. For some, the injection process may cause pain and discomfort, while others may find this process tolerable.Needle free anesthesia involves the utilization of jet injectors. Jet injection technology works by using pressurized gas to propel medication through the skin. Once the area has been slightly numbed the patient will then receive a local anesthetic injection. The objective is to reduce the pain felt during the initial injecting.
Soft Sedation Application
Soft sedation is administered under the direct supervision of an Anesthesiologist. The doctor will prepare the sedo-analgesia protocols with the dose adjusted to the individual needs of the patient. Sedo-analgesia will be given through an IV (Intravenous) line. The procedure will begin once the pain has been blocked and the patient has been visibly relaxed. This process will take a few minutes to complete.
Soft FUE Hair Transplantation
Hair transplantation is comprised of 4 consecutive steps. These are:
- Soft sedation application.
- Harvesting grafts.
- Recipient site creation.
Hair transplantation can be performed with the FUE technique, which requires creating recipient sites before transplanting the grafts and the DHI method, where extraction and transplantation are combined as part of a one step process. FUE and the DHI techniques are the 2 main methods utilized in a hair transplant procedure. Both methods are built upon the basis of FUE principles. Both FUE and DHI Hair transplant techniques can be performed with soft sedation. The application of sedation, must be carried out under the supervision of a doctor. This is the most critical point in the initial step of the hair transplant procedure.
At Doku Medical Center, Soft Sedation is performed under the supervision of an Anesthesiologist with the patient being continuously monitored. The most important aspect of the harvesting process is to extract the grafts homogeneously so the donor site will not be noticeable and maintain its natural appearance after the procedure. Creating the recipient sites in accordance with the direction and angle of natural hair growth are the 2 most significant factors that determine the success of the operation.Direction implies creating the recipient sites in accordance with the direction of natural hair growth. The recipient site incisions are made with precise accuracy at the natural angle of your normal hair.
The recipient site incisions are made at an angle of 40-45 degrees with precise accuracy. This is the natural angle of your normal hair.At Doku Medical Center hair transplantation is performed by Dr. Serkan Aygin. Dr. Serkan Aygin has been practicing in the field of hair transplantation since 1996 and has operated on patients from around 100 different countries across the globe.
